My Neighbor Alice Marketplace is here!
Hello Neighbors!
Today is a very exciting day, as we are glad to announce the opening of our official Marketplace, which you can access here. The Marketplace allows you to list and trade land plots on a peer-to-peer basis. Also, new minted lands will be listed here for primary sales in the future (news coming soon!). We have also added additional features to assist in the trading of land which we hope you will appreciate!
Connecting to and Using the Marketplace
Please keep in mind that to use the Marketplace, you will need to install Metamask and add the Binance Smart Chain network. You will need BNB to pay gas fees for transactions, and ALICE tokens to buy lands from other users. However, there are no marketplace fees!
Once you connect your Metamask wallet on the top right-hand corner, you will be able to see your owned land plots on your profile.
From there, you can edit your profile name, nickname, avatar, cover image, and email address (if you would like to add it only!) and perform different actions like:
- List a land on the secondary market
- Claim a land (i.e.; get the land if you win an auction)
- Settle a reward (i.e.; receive Alice tokens if you successfully sell a land)
- Change the reserve price (i.e.; starting price of auction) of lands that you previously listed
- Unlist a land from the secondary market
Core Land Buy/Sell Feature
Presently, the interface allows you to view and list your own lands for sale, browse and buy lands that other users have listed for sale. Remember to select the secondary sales page on the top left!
All the lands are sold via a 24 hours auction. Reserve price shows the starting price of the auction. The countdown starts when the first bid is placed but if someone places a bid in the last 30min before the auction ends, the countdown is extended by a further 30min!
You can also monitor the lands you placed a bid on through the bid page (click on the top right-hand corner, see image above). The bids page will then show you all of the lands you put bids on.
The Map
One other great feature is the Map. You can see your land’s position on the map and will see which lands are already owned or up for sale.
Land Sale Previews (Coming Soon!)
In the future, you will also be able to use the Marketplace interface to see the lands which will become available during upcoming land sales (more information will follow soon, stay tuned!).
Additional NFT Support and Features Still to Come…
The Marketplace is a long-term cornerstone of the MNA economy and will continue to evolve in the future. Currently, only the buying and selling of land is supported. After later updates, the Marketplace will also support the listing and trading of non-land NFTs (animals, etc.), and we will add additional features to streamline the user experience for viewing and managing game assets.
In Summary
To summarize, the marketplace supports the following features:
- Connecting your Metamask wallet via Binance Smart Chain
- List and trade lands
- Edit your profile page (name, avatar, etc.)
- Check the position of your land on the map and view your neighbors
If you want to play Alpha Season 1, you can buy a land plot in the Marketplace and bridge it to Chromia to get access! For more information on the bridging process, read this article.
